These months keep flying by - what. the. heck!? - slow down, please.
Just when I feel like I'm on top of things, (like these goals for example), I get completely caught up in everyday life. Thankfully, at the end of each month I get the chance to sit down and reflect on the way I've spent my time this month, and what I should try differently next month.
Here are my goals for the year:
I'm proud to say that I'm pretty solid with blogging, running (/training for the 10k), studying the bible, exploring Pittsburgh (and taking advantage of the wide-range of amazing events/locations it has to offer), composting, and getting out (and getting off the couch!)
I'm kind of okay at following my cleaning schedule, praying more, reading more, and volunteering, but I'd still like to get a bit better at all of those.
I am sorry to say that I have fallen (essentially completely) short in opening my Etsy shop (though I'm made some small progress over the last two days), teaching (I'm actually thinking of applying for a totally different full-time job, just to have some sense of stability and routine), & scrapbooking.
I said that once summer came around I'd have more time to work on my
Etsy shop and scrapbook, but it seems that summer has already arrived
and I have yet to step up to the plate.
Regardless, I'll celebrate the successes I have had, and continue to try to make some improvements each month. I know Yoda wouldn't agree, but all we can do is keeping trying.
(If you get the reference, you just passed question #34 of my best friend test.)
(Okay, there's no test... but it does make you pretty awesome.)
How did you do with your goals for the year??
-N
you should get this app called tabeso. it helps you figure out when and where local events are. so it could totally help you explore Pittsburgh more. i got it like a couple months ago and it is totally helpful. and that's so cool that you are training for a 10k. im working towards a 5k right now. its hard work!
ReplyDeleteI love this goal list! I have a lot of the same goals/have done a lot of the same things like start a blog and open an etsy shop
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to pray and read more.
You still have half the year to get all your goals done! Good look girly
This seems like a wonderful idea Niquelle! I guess we all need something like this so we dont lose track of our goals. :) Good luck on your Etsy Shop! Just take it step by step and you'll eventually get there. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your encouragement Mary! I think part of my struggle is that I feel like I need to get it all done perfectly and make sure it's successful, but you're so right! I need to take small steps and work toward building into something real and sustainable.
DeleteAlso, just in case you don't know, you're a "no-reply blogger" which means when you comment on someones blog, they cannot access your email address to respond directly. If you'd like help changing that, just let me know =)
