Trail Running

A few days ago, Dave and I decided to run through one of the beautiful parks in Pittsburgh in order to avoid the hot sun (as much as possible) and explore a new place.

It was a lovely day and a lovely park... but it was a very tough run. I think the hardest one I've done yet! (I know I've said that before - but this definitely takes the cake!) I think it's good to continue to challenge myself, but I probably won't be trying this exact course again for a little while.

I was pretty sure it was the toughest route ever with all the Pittsburgh hills & all (and because I'm a bit of a wimp) but then I saw this video posted on LikeCool and realized that I didn't have it so bad...
So yeah, just keep this in mind next time you're crying from your little incline.
I know I will.

  1. I really like running on trails! But hills and I are not good friends - that race in europe is insane!!

  2. That's insane! I can't even imagine! I thought my training was going really well, until I tried a new path with hills in it, and realized that I'm only doing great because my usual path is completely flat haha. Good for you for challenging yourself though!
